Project overview

Sparwood Centennial Plaza uses repeated timber portals and black steel elements to shape a public gathering place. Ennadai supplied and installed the complete structure, including the concrete foundations.

One coordinated scope covered concrete foundations, timber fabrication, steel interfaces and complete field installation.

Architectural timber

A repeated frame defines the plaza.

The structure combines the warmth and scale of heavy timber with slender black steel bracing and canopy elements. Repetition ties the individual bays together while the changing geometry gives the plaza a distinct civic identity.

Complete installation

The interfaces stayed with one team.

Ennadai supplied and installed the timber and steel structure and completed the concrete foundations below it. Managing those connected scopes together helped keep the anchor locations, base plates, timber geometry and field sequence coordinated.
